Robert Hofman
My name is Robert Hofman. I am an illustrator and I work in pencil (No.2 graphite and color). My work includes: architectural landscapes, international faces, figure studies, wildlife, and domestic dog portraits. My greeting card company is called “Tie a Yellow Ribbon”, and several stores in Palm Desert display my cards. I have been drawing since I was a child and studied art for one semester at a university. Now retired, I have been focused on illustrating. I am a member of the Artist Council here in Palm Desert and follow its activity.

Statement of Work
Artist Statement:
This is an original work in No. 2 graphite pencil and color pencils. The setting is doves sipping water at a river’s edge during the hue of early morning. Ample floral patterns and foliage along the river’s edge protects them. The colors are burnished to provide the muted effect of early morning colorization.
